Each of the pilots educating pilots courses listed tot he right will require all of the following:

1. Attendee be an ALPA member in good standing
2. Attendee has received prior approval from their MEC for attendance
3. Attendee has completed the prerequisites for the course prior to registering

Please review the list to the right. After confirming that you have met the prerequisite(s) and have the necessary required  approvals, follow the link at the bottom of this page to be directed to online registration.

ATTENTION - read before submitting a registration

ALPA policy requires that prior to attending any ALPA, International training course; pilots must obtain the approval of their MEC Central Air Safety Chairman (CASC), Security Chairman, or MEC Chairman as appropriate. Additionally, the training courses are designed to be taken in sequence and therefore may require completing a prerequisite training program(s) listed above.

By submitting your registration, you are verifying that you have:
(1) received the necessary MEC approval, as appropriate for you to attend the course and
(2) have met that course’s prerequisites.

Course Expenses 

Your MEC budget pays for all of your pilot expenses: travel, sleeping rooms, meals and flight pay loss (if required).  This includes no-shows for hotel rooms where reservations have been requested and NOT canceled 48 hours prior to arrival and/or if the attendee fails to notify the hotel at check-in of a different departure date then the reserved.

ALPA Executive Board policy mandates the use of the ALPA electronic system called “Infor” to claim reimbursement expenses.  Furthermore, expenses must be filed within 60 days of the date they were incurred.  Since MEC funds are used to reimburse pilots, attendees should utilize a project number supplied by their MEC Central Air Safety Chairman, Security Committee Chairman, or MEC Chairman.

ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION COURSE (AI2)
Prerequisite(s): Basic Safety School    
ALPA Members: ALPA Members must have approval from their MEC Central Air Safety Chairman prior to registration.

ADVANCED ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION COURSE (AI3)
Prerequisite(s): Basic Safety School & Accident Investigation Course
ALPA Members: ALPA Members must have approval from their MEC Central Air Safety Chairman prior to registration.

AIRPORT SAFETY LIAISON TRAINING (ASL)
Prerequisite(s): Basic Safety School
ALPA Members: To attend the Airport Safety Liaison Training an ALPA member must be in in the process of being approved, or have been approved to become an ASL and have the prior approval of the Regional Airport Safety Coordinator to attend. BASIC SAFETY SCHOOL (SA1)
Prerequisite(s): None
ALPA Members: ALPA Members must have approval from their MEC Central Air Safety Chairman prior to registration.

CANADA PILOT ASSISTANCE TRAINING
Prerequisite(s): None
ALPA Members: ALPA Members must have approval from their MEC Pilot Assistance Chairman prior to registration.

RISK MANAGEMENT COURSE
Prerequisite(s): Basic Safety School

SAFETY TWO SCHOOL - STS (SA2)
Prerequisite(s): Basic Safety School    
ALPA Members: ALPA Members must have approval from their MEC Central Air Safety Chairman prior to registration.
